Hi, I’m Ethan Anderson
I am a Computer Science graduate student at Florida State University pursuing an MS in Computer Science with a specialization in Cybersecurity. I earned my BS in Computer Science from Florida State University in May 2026, graduating with a 3.9 GPA, and am a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Alpha of Florida.
I am interested in cybersecurity and system administration, specifically Unix systems, networks, cryptography, and reverse engineering.

- Re-architected contest division and scoring logic in a legacy Django codebase, consolidating multiple divisions into a single, automatically computed team classification system.
- Worked with a team to refactor registration, team management, and admin workflows so divisions are inferred from participant profiles, eliminating manual configuration and ensuring consistent prize eligibility.
Lab Monitor

- Serve as the first point of contact in a 50+ seat CS lab, maintaining system uptime and keeping the space safe and usable for students and faculty.
Personal Interests
Hiking and Travel: I have been to over 20 US national parks, I enjoy hiking and camping with my girlfriend. Hardware: I have a deep passion for computer hardware. I have been taking apart and learning about components for over 15 years (ever since I was a kid). Computer hardware gave me my love for systems and networks.
Games: Avid gamer and collector. I have a collection of over 500 physical games and over 30 consoles.
